What we can do together

Free courses, turned into real skills.

Every Academy course is free to every learner. Partners fund what turns free content into capability in their areas: facilitated sessions, venues and devices, local languages, workplace delivery and reporting.

Community training sessions

Facilitated workshops in community halls and other neutral venues, where residents, workers and officials work through the courses together.

Your workforce

Employees and contractors take the same free courses as the community, on their phones or in workplace sessions.

In local languages

Courses in the languages spoken in your communities, with narration recorded by South African voices.

Impact reporting

Clear reports on how many people started and finished, in combined, anonymous figures.

Ways to partner

Choose the reach that suits you.

Costs are agreed with each partner once we understand the area and the people to reach.

  • Site Partner

    One operation or project

Community training sessions for its host and labour-sending communities and its workforce.

  • District Partner

    Several companies in one district

Shared community training, with groups drawn from several companies' areas, and a district impact report.

  • Founding Partner

    Two companies only

Named acknowledgement, the first community training sessions, a seat on the Advisory Forum on reach and logistics, and site impact reports.

  • Funded places

    Development funders and foundations

Sessions for communities that have no company sponsor.

How it works

Four steps from first contact to results.

  1. Tell us

Send the short form below with the area and the kind of training you have in mind.

  2. We meet

ISD meets your team to understand the area, the people to reach and the languages they speak.

  3. We agree a plan

Together we settle the sessions, venues, languages, timing and costs.

  4. We deliver and report

ISD runs the learning and reports back on how it went.

Fair to everyone at the table.

Partners are named publicly on every training programme they fund, with what they paid for. They never approve, edit or remove course content, and they see only combined, anonymous figures. An employer may see its own employees' completion status only, and employees are told this before they enrol.

ISD training is not consultation, and training records may never be presented as consultation with, or consent from, any community. Read the full Neutrality Charter.
