The ISD Academy Neutrality Charter
The ISD Academy serves communities, workers, companies and government alike. These commitments keep it fair to everyone.
- Sponsors fund facilitated community training sessions, localisation and reporting. They never approve, edit or remove content.
- Every cohort page names its sponsor and what the sponsor paid for.
- Cohorts mix community, workforce and official participants wherever possible.
- All course content, in both schools, is free to every learner on the web and in the ISD app.
- Sponsors receive aggregate data only. Individual learner data and actions are never shared without the learner's written consent. Exception: an employer may see its own enrolled employees' completion status only, disclosed before enrolment.
- The Academy teaches learners to monitor every duty-bearer, including the company that paid for their place, the municipality and the regulator.
- ISD never assesses, certifies or comments on the safety of any facility or the compliance of any operator through the Academy.
- ISD training is not consultation. No sponsor may present ISD training records or attendance as evidence of consultation with, or consent from, any community. The Academy supports, but never replaces or certifies, a right holder's own legal duty to consult.
- Where ISD is funded through a mine's SLP, the commitment is disclosed on every cohort page, ISD's delivery is open to monitoring by learners like any other SLP project, and the case material used in that cohort is another mine's published SLP or a fictional case.
- Community training sessions are held at neutral community venues, not on company premises, wherever possible.
